Albany PFAS Seminar

The seminar will focus exclusively on PFAS, their impact on our industry and the ever-changing DEC guidelines.

We are pleased to have representatives of both the DEC and the DOH presenting at the event. Our distinguished panel of experts will include the following:

Mr. Martin Brand, the Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Remediation & Materials Management for the DEC. Mr. Brand will be discussing the new requirements in NYS related to emerging contaminants.

Mr. Dan Lang, the Deputy Director of the Division of Environmental Health Protection at the DOH. Mr. Lang will detail the identified health risks associated with PFAS.

Ms. Linda Shaw, of Knauf Shaw, will be addressing the impact that the low PFAS MCL will have on remediation projects.

Mr. Greg Lesniak, of Barton & Loguidice, will be discussing the fate and transport of PFAS.

Mr. Dan Casey, of ECT2, will be providing insight on effective treatment techniques and associated costs.

Mr. Jim Occhialini, of Alpha Analytical, will provide an overview of the environmental laboratory’s role in the testing process.

 This seminar will provide 3 PDH Credits. The seminar will run from 3:00pm-6:30 pm followed by a networking reception.
